Michel Cadoret of Epineguen

French painter 20th century
Born on September 7th, 1912 in Paris.
Died in 1985.

After studies in "Beaux Arts de Paris" national superior school, he took part in theArt fair of Tuileries (1935) and the "Salon d'automne" (Automn Art fair).
1939: weddind with Maria Chrobolowska.
Captive in 1940 in Sedan he escapes in September and joined the Free French Army in 1943 in Casablanca
He travels to Germany, Egypt,South America, through the Antilles.
In 1949 it exhibited in Boston, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New Orleans, and Houston with the Road exhibition show organized by the embassy of France “France comes to you”.
He settles in Mexico during three years, then in New York. 1950 - 1953
His artistic means are very varied: Fresco, painting, engraving, tapestry
He was close to Rothko, Calder, Duchamp, Varèse.
1959 he is named member of “Graduate Faculty” of New School of NYC where he started teaching from 1961.
1966 : He installs a workshop in Cannes.
The geometry of his art becomes animated through a paste treated with the knife as Nicolas de Staël.
A median core appears, structure which will be found in all work, a kind of coloured petrol.
Cadoret requires that his work places Ego remotely, foresees the dynamism and the explosion of the matter.
Here thus that the forms burst and tend towards outside.
