BIOGRAPHY

MAZELLA Jean (or Mazzella)

French painter 19th century
Landscapes, seascapes

There is a little documentation on this artist, who was active in the second half of the 19th century, and few of his Works have been identified.
He seems to have been concerned with the picturesque aspects of his views rather than their accurency, sometimes changing the composition of his landscapes, as when e placed the chapel of Fécamp on the cliffs at Yport.
